As your child is now in their final year of primary school, an important decision must be made about which secondary school your child will attend next year. We ask that every child returns a form. Children going to private schools need only fill in the section 5 that says which school they are going to be attending.
Government School
If your child is going to attend a government secondary school in 2025 you need to return the Application for Year 7 Placement 2024 form to school by Friday 10th May. If students are not successful on their first three preferences, they will be placed in their designated neighbourhood school.

Applying to a school that is NOT the student’s designated neighbourhood school
The Department states that “Though all students are guaranteed a place at their local school, in some cases a school may not have sufficient accommodation to enrol all students from outside their zone. For more information about how these enrolments must be prioritised, refer to the Placement Policy.”
